6 killed In Rivers’ Cult War

Six persons were killed at the weekend in a renewed cult war in Idu-Obosiukwu community in Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Local Government Area of Rivers State.

The cult clash, was between two groups, identified as Icelander and Greenlander cult groups, which had been allegedly causing havoc in the community and its environments.

It was further gathered that some suspected members of the group razed buildings belonging to community heads and youth president, whose identities could not be ascertained at the time of filing the report.

Daily Sun also gathered that the individuals killed were members of the two cult groups and the community has been under siege by cultists.

However, the State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Ahmad Muhammad, a Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), when contacted, could not confirm the incident.

In another development, gunmen have abducted the wife of a popular Port Harcourt – based comedian cum politician, Mrs. Chime Mike Ogbolosingha.
