—There was a gentle show at the Ado-Ekiti Branch of the Zenith Bank yesterday as Governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose raged the bank to make withdrawals from his unfrozen records.
The Federal High Court, Ado-Ekiti had on Tuesday requested the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, to de-stop Fayose's records. Fayose got to the premises of the bank at around 1:20 pm and made straight for the workplace of the Bank's Branch Manager, Mr. Mojeed Adekunle and displayed a counter-check for withdrawal from his record.
He told the bank administrator that he was in the bank to make a few withdrawals from his record taking after a court arrange, served on the bet on Wednesday, December 14, to unfreeze his records.
Giving out the check, the representative said he was prepared to hold up till at whatever time his cash would be paid. "I am prepared to hold up in your office till you close for the day as I need my cash in real money," he said immovably.
Mr. Adekunle who affirmed the receipt of the court arrange, told Fayose that the Bank would agree to the request and requesting that he hold up quietly to empower them counsel with the central command.
At precisely 3:20 pm following two hours, the senator left the manage an account with N5 million money, saying: "I went to the bank in the wake of serving them with the court request and I decided that I won't leave the bank until my cash is given to me.
"The bank has done the needful by giving me a player in the cash affirming that they have complied with the court arrange. "I need to express gratitude toward Nigerians and my supporters for trusting in our cause that Nigerians ought not be persecuted.
''What's more, I need to thank the EFCC for complying with the court arrange. They set request on two records, one has N82 million, alternate has N300 million. I have gathered N5 million at this point.
''I'm not shutting the records but rather in the event that they assault my records once more, I will raise hell with them, enormous inconvenience. "On the off chance that EFCC is engaging the court judgment that is their memorial service.
As a sitting Governor my invulnerability is total simply like that of the President. They ought to advise EFCC to quiets down. There is no power other than the power of the constitution of this nation which I appreciate.
''Rubbishing the workplace of the senator is the same as rubbishing that of the President in light of the fact that after the President, Governors are the following. "It's their time now, another individuals' chance will come tomorrow. There is no place for fascism in Nigeria."
